John Strutton - The Band of Nod and Maxine Mason

On the opening night of the show visitors will have the opportunity to join the band and participate in one of their performances. We are all in the band of nod.
A Short history of the band of nod brings together their instruments, costumes and publicity material along side a short film documenting their activities over the last four years.
In addition, Maxine Mason will build a dance floor in K3, similar to a piece she made at Braziers International workshop in 2003 called 'Forever and Ever' - a dancefloor, set with LED lights, designed for an old Dutch Barn. The combination of sculptural elements and dance music make this a seductive piece that quite literally lures viewers onto its surface - providing a virtual route back to the 80s disco scene via the gallery.
