Relax (Chiarenza & Hauser & co.) CH www.relax-studios.ch members of RELAX: marie-antoinette chiarenza, 1957 tunis // daniel hauser,1959 bern chiarenza & hauser are not so much interested in the formal dimension of space. they are rather oriented towards the fonctional and historical aspects of the physical and mental spaces. Since the formation of the groupe in 1997, RELAX resolutely rename all public spaces as "economic spaces". Wherever they can, they use "a radical critic of formalist conception of space" (quote: Philip Ursprung). marie-antoinette chiarenza and daniel hauser are working together since 1983, using all media they can find. they are noted for making such declarations as "thinking alone is criminal" (1991) and "artists are no flags" (1993). |
