My artistic & professional background includes studying in various institutions and composing/performing for many different mediums such as dance, installation, film, theatre & concerts since 1988. Consequently I have become an eclectic composer and sound artist combining several musical styles such as electronic, experimental, electro-acoustic, jazz, classical & urban music as well as popular songwriting and sound art.
As a sound artist I create my own installations as well as sound environments for other mediums such as : video, multimedia, installation and web art.
My installation work includes the collection of sounds from my everyday life, my travels, people's lives and/or from digital sources. These sounds can come from nature, the human body, the city & spoken and/or sung text depending on my temporal location and on the subject. I then manipulate these sounds using low and hightech equipment.

I use sound as a medium of suggesting emotions, feelings, humour and some political statements which emphasises on equal opportunity. I am also interested in creating spatial and intimate environnements in which the audience can interact.
I recently started working in a similar way with not only sound but also video and objects.

Suitcase
When I created Suitcase, I collected sounds from various places I travelled to between 1998-2000. Some places included: The Amazon forest, a Tango bar in Argentina, a train in Rumania, an airport in Brazil, etcThe public was invited to listen to the different recordings on walkmans or through speakers. My aim was to share my journeys with the public.
This piece was exhibited at:
- The Whitechapel Art Gallery (for the BELT-Temporary Accomodation )London
- Deptford X (Arts festival), London
